itinerary will be flexible according to the locations of new crop
circles and which sites are nearby.
Fly overnight to arrive into London Heathrow airport the next day
Day 1
Morning -
Collection from Heathrow airport and transfer by private coach to the Bear Hotel in the market town of Devizes in the heart of crop circle country. You will have
time to rest up or take lunch and then explore this charming market
town.
There is a good
range of shops, cafes, restaurants, markets and pubs readily
available as our hotel is situated right in the centre of town in
the old marketplace. The picturesque Kennet & Avon canal flows
through the town and the hills and fields around the town are a
popular venue for crop circles as is the whole countryside
stretching east. The majority of crop circles each year occur
within 15 miles of our hotel.

Day 2
Attendance at a top
crop circle conference with international crop circle
researchers.
The conference is organized by Wiltshire Crop Circle Study Group, a long-standing group led by veteran researcher Francine Blake. It is held at Marlborough College that has the five thousand year old sacred site of Merlin's Mound within its grounds.
Admission to the
full day of presentations. Meals are available at the conference or
there are many shops and cafes in town, just a five minute
walk.

Day 4
Morning - crop circles visit
Afternoon -
Avebury Landscape Temple, the heart centre of megalithic
Britain. Here, within the largest stone circle in the world, we
find the remains of two former stone circles, one solar and one
lunar. Other ancient sacred sites within this complex include the
remarkable five thousand year old manmade Silbury Hill, the
largest of its kind in Europe, and West Kennet Long Barrow, an underground chamber used both as a tomb and a place of initiation, that has wonderful acoustics.

Day 5
We will spend the
whole of this day in Glastonbury, otherwise known as the
Isle of Avalon.
Rising dramatically
from the flat land of the surrounding Somerset Levels, the huge
natural mound of the Tor, surmounted by St. Michael's tower, has been a beacon of spirituality since pagan times and still acts as a magnet for people of all beliefs. You will hear the stories and the legends as well as experience the powerful energy and atmosphere of this sacred site. Plus the views from the top are spectacular!
We visit the
beautiful and tranquil gardens of Chalice Well, one of the
true healing places in this land where you are encouraged to drink
from the holy well. A local legend states that the Holy
Grail is hidden within the wellhead.
Glastonbury
Abbey, the birthplace of Christianity in England and referred to as the "holiest earth in England," was once the largest and most powerful abbey in all of Britain. It is no coincidence that the dual energy currents of England's most famous leyline cross at the site of the high altar. A grave in the centre of the Abbey ruins is reputed to have been the resting place of King Arthur and Guinevere.
Glastonbury is full
of unusual shops selling everything from candles and incense to
books and Goddess statues that you can peruse at your leisure
during a long lunch break.

Day 6
Today is market
day in Devizes, held, as it has been for hundreds of years, in
the market place in front of our hotel. We will have a free morning
to allow you to enjoy the market at your leisure.

Day 7
Early morning - private visit to Stonehenge. We have
arranged for the group to have private special access into the
stones of the world's most famous sacred site. Touch the huge
megaliths which have stood in magnificent isolation on the
windswept Salisbury Plain for thousands of years, feel the pulse of
powerful earth energy currents coursing beneath your feet, imagine
the ceremonies which have been performed by robed priests over
aeons of time or just sit in quiet meditation. This is a rare
opportunity to truly experience a site revered by countless
generations.
Then we're off to the airfield for those who choose the optional helicopter flight over the crop circles - truly a high spot of the tour for many. After the flight you will have the afternoon to explore Salisbury.
Those who don't want to fly will spend the day in Salisbury, a medieval city built around its splendid gothic
cathedral. It also has a fine range of shops housed in historic
buildings and a wide selection of cafes, restaurants and pubs as
well as historic places to visit.

Day 8
All day - visit to Georgian Bath, a city built around hot thermal springs that were revered in Pagan times and enclosed by the Romans into their bath-houses and temples. The city of Bath developed over the centuries and today it boasts the finest Georgian architecture in Britain including the world famous Royal Crescent that you will see while learning of the history of this unique city on our city bus tour.
You may also wish
to visit the Roman Baths and museum and take tea or sample
the thermal waters in the historic Pump Room. Right next door is
the sixteenth century Bath Abbey for you to explore and just
around the corner you can shop above the river in the tiny stores
on the spectacular Pulteney Bridge modeled on Venice's Ponte di Rialto. For literature lovers there's the Jane Austin museum or if fabric is your thing you can visit the Lace museum.
Optional visit to
Thermae Bath Spa, Britain's original and only natural thermal spa.
