Carnival Liberty's
cabins are pleasantly larger than industry average from interiors
to suites.
The
decor of interior, oceanview, and balcony staterooms is a pleasant
amalgam of peachy and soft yellow tones. Interiors are furnished
with chairs. All others have a seating area with a sofa (some are
pull-outs) and coffee table. One way in which Carnival
distinguishes itself is by offering beds that convert from twins to
a king (other cruise lines use more narrow twins that, doubled,
equal a queen). Beds are outfitted with soft linens and
duvets.
Every
stateroom features in-cabin wireless Internet access, and an
interactive television system that offers everything from
pay-per-view movies to reservation capabilities. The in-cabin
television with remote carries all the major U.S. networks, as well
movie channels, CNN, Discovery Channel, and several children's
programming. Pay-per-view movies are available. You can access a
menu of guest services on your TV, including checking your account,
reviewing dining room menus in advance, and ordering shore
excursions. Safes, filled mini-fridges (price cards are offered),
and phones with voice mail are included in the
amenities.
Staterooms have more than adequate storage space; a
hair dryer inside the desk drawer; a mini bar; and a personal safe
inside a cupboard. The bathrooms are large with a good-sized
shower. Anchored to the wall inside the shower are shampoo and body
wash dispensers. On the counter is a complimentary basket of
sampler-size toiletry items. Several glass shelves on either side
of the sink will store all your personal items. Towels provided are
not only generous in quantity but also quite nice in quality.
Interiors, oceanviews, and standard balconies have showers and no
bathtubs.
The
standard balcony staterooms have a very narrow balcony, with two
chairs (one of which reclines) and a small cocktail
table.
This
ship offers family-friendly accommodations with floor-to-ceiling
windows.
Suites
are nearly twice the size of balcony cabins, and plenty roomy.
Beyond the extra space, there are bathrooms with tubs and
televisions with VCR's. Suites are packed with plush carpet and
luxurious decor. You will sleep like a baby surrounded by the
Carnival Comfort Bed Collection.
As
part of the recent renovation, Carnival Liberty also gained two
huge new Penthouse Suites. Each accommodates five people and
features a living area with a sofa bed, a separate bedroom, a
balcony and two full bathrooms -- including one with a tub.
Liberty's new Penthouse Suites are by far the largest cabins in the
fleet.

balcony, spacious and separate living room and bedroom areas, two
full bathrooms (the one in the bedroom features a whirlpool tub),
ample closet space and mini bar. Captain's Suites have their own
private verandah, king-sized bed, walk-in closet, private bathroom
with whirlpool tub with a handheld shower spray, and a grand living
room with desk, vanity, drawer space, sofa bed, and Pullman-style
bunk beds. The living area also has a bathroom with a shower.
