There is a saying that goes like this: "What the Mayas say, no one listens to, but what others say about the Mayas, everyone does."
This presentation comes from a non
academic point of view. It comes from an oral tradition, how I have learned it from my
Elders, who in turn have learned from their parents and grandparents and so
on.
I would like for this presentation to be a dialogue as there is no more me or you, it is us, together as one, therefor I encourage you to ask questions relevant to our topic. We are living a time of changes, we are living the Shift. What does the Shift really means? What is ment by the Return to Consciousness? Together we will explore it.
I will talk about 2012, the Shift, the New Sun, the Year Zero, and thereafter. I will give a brief explanation of the different calendars in use today with emphasis on their use in our daily life. We will talk about Mayan numerology and the significnce of the number "0".
I will share some of the Prophecies, and their relevance to the 13 Baktun. These prophecies are recomendations left to us by our Ancestors, come from ancient times for this time we are living now. I may share with you the 13th Revelation, this is the last revelation, it was received by the elders back in June of 2001.
My wish with this talk is to present a real picture of the times we are living as seen by the Traditional Mayan Elders in Guatemala. We are living a time of changes not only for Mother Earth but for us as individuals as well, if you look around you will see many break ups, disolusions, many changes going on; we are living very intense times. DR. CARL JOHAN CALLEMAN was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and

Dr. Calleman fell in love with the native
Maya during a trip to Central America in 1979. He became fascinated with their now-famous
calendar and, more importantly, why it would have an end date. To his absolute amazement,
he discovered that the Mayan Calendar does not measure Days and Nights based on planets
doing 24-hour orbits around a sun, like our current Gregorian calendar system. Rather,
it is Universal Creation's schedule of energetic shifts that has driven our very
