Flights by Celebrity

Celebrity's Flights by Celebrity program has been enhanced with Premium Benefits that give you everything you want in airfare service: the best value, the assurance that you'll get to your ship, the flexibility to choose your favorite airline and flights, and the security in knowing you have round-the-clock support throughout your travels.

- Flights by Celebrity guarantees the lowest airfare available. If you find a lower fare within 24 hours of booking, we'll award you 110% of the difference to spend on board your cruise—a benefit no other cruise line offers.

- Enjoy 24/7 travel service and flight disruption protection, too. Our Flights by Celebrity Specialists monitor your flights, so if there are any delays or cancellations, they’ll work quickly with the airline to get you on the next available flight and get you to your ship.

- You have the flexibility to search different airlines and flights, so it's easy to find exactly what you want. And, we save you time by filtering out flights that won't work with your cruise.

- Flights by Celebrity Agents are available 24/7 to help ensure your air travel is as carefree as your cruise. Just call. They'll do whatever they can to help.

- Flights by Celebrity with all its benefits and services is absolutely free to use. All you pay for is your air travel, which is exactly the way it should be.

- For additional details about the Celebrity Flights by Celebrity program, contact Diane at diane@luxurytravel-destinations.com: 336-749-1219 after you have made a reservation for the Cruise.

TRAVEL DELAYS

Air travel schedules can be affected by a number of factors. If your flight arrives at Port Canaveral after the ship's scheduled sailing time due to weather or mechanical problems, contact Celebrity's emergency travel hotline and/or a supervisor at the airline's ticket counter for assistance in securing hotel accommodations and flight arrangements to your ship's next destination.

Calling within USA: 800-533-7803
Calling International: +1 316-554-5961

In case you miss the departure of your ship due to carrier-caused delays or other insurance-covered reasons, please make sure you have enough travel insurance to cover additional accommodations, meals and "catch-up" transportation expenses. You are responsible for any expense incurred to meet the ship at its next port of call.

For this reason, we highly recommend that you arrive a day prior to sailing and stay in a hotel the night before to avoid any possible delays. We offer pre-cruise hotel reservations and we offer travel insurance. Contact Diane at diane@luxurytravel-destinations.com: 336-749-1219.

WHEN TO ARRIVE AT PORT

In general, Celebrity allows guests to arrive at the Cruise Terminal anytime in the late morning to early afternoon. Arriving at the port earlier (rather than later) is advantageous for a few reasons. First, you will beat the crowds at check-in that usually arrive between noon and 1:30 pm. Second, you will board the ship sooner, giving you more time onboard. Arriving early does add a risk of extra waiting around to be let onto the ship, and staterooms are not accessible onboard until 1:00 pm. However, the majority of guests tend to arrive in the early afternoon, which can lead to longer lines.

Ever since the COVID pandemic, cruise lines now require that you board the ship during a specific half-hour window of your own choosing. In other words, you will have a specific appointment time for your arrival at Port Canaveral. You wil choose that time when you check-in for the cruise online, about one month before the departure date.

The ship will sail at 4:00 pm. Celebrity Cruise Line requires guests to be checked in no later than 90 minutes prior to the scheduled sailing time. Therefore you need to be checked in by 3:00 pm. Guests arriving late may not be permitted to sail. In some ports, government regulations require cruise lines to submit a departure manifest 90 minutes prior to sailing.

HAND-CARRY A BAG

Make sure you keep one bag that you hand-carry onto the ship. Upon arrival at the Cruise Terminal, your large suitcases will be transfered onto the ship by porters and delivered to your stateroom, and you will not see it again for several hours. You might not see that luggage until late that night. Therefore, pack a carry-on that you can wheel onto the ship with all you need for the day, including your travel documents, Xpress pass (boarding pass), passport, change of clothing, swim suit, sunscreen, workout clothes, cosmetics, make-up, medications, book to read, and/or other vital items you might need in the afternoon before the rest of your luggage arrives in your room.

Give your large bags to one of the porters upon your arrival at the dock. Make sure your luggage tags are securely attached to every piece of luggage so they will arrive in your stateroom. (Print out those luggage tags in advance from the Celebrity website when you complete your online check-in.) Gratuities for porters are not included in your cruise fees. A suggested tip is $2-3 per bag.

PASSENGER AND LUGGAGE DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP

- Arrival:

For passenger safety, security, and convenience, please proceed directly to the Cruise Terminal to drop off passengers and baggage. Parking personnel will direct drivers to the appropriate parking facility. All parking facilities are convenient, secure, and patrolled 24 hours a day. Passenger and luggage drop-off is available in front of the Terminal or in the parking facility.
Porters will assist you with your large bags, which will arrive in your stateroom later in the afternoon.

Be sure to pack a separate carry-on bag with your valuables that you will personally wheel onto the ship.

- Departure:

On the last night of your cruise, you may place your luggage in the hallway outside your stateroom, and early next morning the porters will take them to the Cruise Terminal for you to retrieve after you leave the ship. Be sure to keep underwear, clothing, hoodie, cosmetics, make-up, shoes, and anything else you will need for the next morning. If you wish, you have the option to wheel all your luggage off the ship yourself without help from porters.

If you parked at the Cruise Terminal, you have the option to retrieve your vehicle and pick up your companions and luggage in front of the Terminal entrance, or you can walk with your luggage to your vehicle and depart when ready.

TAXI OR RIDE-SHARING

There are lots of taxis at Port Canaveral, as well as at the airports in the area that can easily take you to/from Port Canaveral.

Ride-sharing programs, such as Uber or Lyft, are also options that can save a lot of money compared to traditional taxis. These ride-sharing services allow people to use their own personal automobiles to provide rides. Uber and Lyft are gaining popularity among people headed to the cruise port as a less-expensive way of getting private car transportation to the port.

RENTING A CAR

In many cases, a one-way car rental is the best optional economically because of the flexibility it offers, as well as the per-person cost. Most major rental car facilities have locations in the Cocoa Beach area and provide complimentary shuttle service to the port.

The larger the group, the better sense renting a car makes. Check what the rental car rates will be for the time you are looking to go, but having a rental car offers not just a means of getting to the port, but also a way to see local attractions, enjoy a greater variety of restaurants, and stock up on last-minute supplies prior to getting to the cruise terminal.

When reserving your car, be sure to indicate that you will return the car in a different location and look for locations in Cape Canaveral or Cocoa Beach. The major rental car companies have locations within 5 miles or so of the cruise terminals.

A good tip for those renting a car is to first drive the car to the cruise terminal, drop off the luggage and everyone else in your party there. Then, the driver should drive the rental car back to the car rental location and take the free shuttle back to the Cruise Terminal. The reason for this is many people opt to bring the car to the car rental location first and lines can develop for the shuttles since the shuttles aren't very big. If just one person needs a ride back with no luggage, it can be much easier to hop into the first shuttle back to the terminal since you don't have to worry about fitting luggage or family.

Celebrity TRANSFERS

Celebrity offers a bus service of its own (called transfers) to bring you to the port from Orlando International Airport (MCO). Celebrity offers transfers in one way increments (you can book two one-ways to create a round trip).

To purchase a Celebrity Guest Transfer or for additional information, consult our travel agent Diane at 336-749-1219 or diane@luxurytravel-destinations.com.

FROM AN AREA HOTEL

If you are staying in a hotel prior to your cruise, the hotels in Port Canaveral and Coco Beach are very convenient to the port. Take route A1A north and follow A1A all the way until you reach the port area. Follow the signs for the terminal of your cruise.

Some hotels in Cape Canaveral offer cruise and park deals, where you can pay for a one night stay at the hotel and receive complimentary parking for the duration of your cruise as well as shuttle service to the Cruise Terminal terminal.

To book one of our suggested hotels, or for additional information, consult our travel agent Diane at 336-749-1219 or diane@luxurytravel-destinations.com.

ID'S AND INCIDENTALS

WHAT IS THE CELEBRITY SEAPASS ACCOUNT?

One of the best things about cruising is the convenience of being able to sign for all your expenses and have them charged to your stateroom. When you check-in for your cruise, you'll receive a SeaPass Card. This Card is used to access your personal shipboard account to which all purchases are charged.

All Celebrity ships operate on a "cashless" system, meaning your boarding card, (also known as your Celebrity SeaPass card), will be used as a charge card to make all onboard purchases. To activate this Celebrity SeaPass account, most guests provide a credit card, (American Express, Optima, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Diner's Club), to have these purchases charged at the end of their cruise. Additionally, the Celebrity SeaPass system may be activated with traveler's checks, Visa or MasterCard debit cards, or cash.

A running tab of all your purchases will be kept under separate folio numbers for each guest and an itemized statement left in your stateroom the night before disembarkation. If you provided a credit card and there are no discrepancies, the amount will be charged to your account on the morning of disembarkation. If you have used traveler's checks or cash to activate the account, you will need to settle the account at the Guest Relations desk, to either receive a reimbursement of the unused amount, or to pay the balance due.

CELEBRITY SEAPASS CARD: YOUR ID

Celebrity Cruise Line uses a computerized system for tracking all persons, both guests and crew, who enter and exit the ship. Upon arrival at the ship, each guest is issued a boarding card (Celebrity SeaPass cruise card) which they must swipe to be officially logged on to the ship. The system imbeds a full color, digital photograph together with personal database information on their SeaPass. With a card swipe, a computer displays a corresponding photo with database information and merges time and date tracking information upon entry or exit.

Your SeaPass Card will serve as your boarding card. This card identifies you as a Celebrity guest and must be carried with you along with picture ID when you go ashore. Because the ship is closed to the public while docked at the various ports-of-call, you must show your SeaPass Card and picture ID to the officer on duty in order to return on board.

If you or one of the kids has trouble keeping track of that SeaPass card, go to the shops onboard and buy a plastic holder with a lanyard. Place the card inside the plastic holder and you are good to go. For extra security, stop by the Guest Relations Desk and get a hole punched in the card to slip through the security ring that attaches to the lanyard.

GRATUITIES

As a "Portal at Sea: Galactic Origins Cruise" Seminar-at-Sea attendee, your incredibly low fee of a total $16 or $18.50 (for suites) per day, per person, for service charges (tips) to your steward, waiters, and all other onboard staff was usually PREPAID when you registered for the event.

This gratuity is shared by your stateroom attendant, dining services staff, and housekeeping staff members who help enhance your vacation experience.

At your discretion, the gratuity payments may be adjusted onboard at Guest Relations, in which case they will not automatically be added to your onboard SeaPass account.

An 18% gratuity will be automatically added to all beverages, mini bar purchases, spa and salon services. Additional gratuities may be added at your discretion.

WELCOME ABOARD

As soon as you get onboard, go straight to your stateroom and get settled, if your room is ready. There you will find the "Celebrity Today" Newsletter with schedules for all the onboard activities, including a ship tour with the cruise crew. If the spa or fitness classes are your thing, make your appointments on the first day, as the most popular treatments and times fill up fast.

LUNCH IS SERVED

Shortly after you are welcomed aboard your incredibly spectacular Celebrity ship, you're invited to relax, dine, or snack at any of the following free restaurants: Ocean View Café Buffet (Deck 14), Mast Grill (Deck 14), Sushi on Five (Deck 5). Concierge Class and above are served sit-down lunch in the Main Dining Room on embarkation day. Retreat Class are served sit-down lunch in the Luminae dining room (Deck 3).

Read the details in your "Celebrity Today" Newsletter, which you will find in your room, as this dining information might be out of date due to frequent Dry Dock renovations to the ship.

Celebrity's unique combination of gracious dining staff, fine cuisine, and new friends make every meal onboard a memorable occasion, starting from the moment you get on the ship.

MANDATORY SAFETY DRILL

All guests must attend the mandatory safety drill (also known as “muster”) and follow all health and safety instructions issued by the Captain as part of the mandatory safety drill announcements. Upon embarkation, guests will have a window of several hours during which they must (a) review essential safety information and (b) report to their designated muster station.

On certain vessels, guests are encouraged to use our patented eMuster™ system, which allows for the review of essential safety information by viewing a safety video via our mobile app or stateroom televisions. Guests who do not complete the safety video portion of the muster requirements via eMuster™, or who are otherwise unable to review essential safety information upon embarkation, will be required to participate in a brief safety presentation upon arrival at their designated muster station.

There is a transaction fee levied by the owners of the ATMs, plus any other fees your financial institution would charge.

PREPARATION AND PACKING

LUGGAGE AND WHAT TO BRING

Whatever the itinerary, destination, or occasion—when you pack, think casual chic.

During the Day at Port
For warmer climates, pack swimsuits and cover-ups, walking shorts and shirts that protect from the sun, lightweight slacks, skirts or sundress, and a light sweater or jacket. Hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen are always encouraged. For cooler climates, bring clothing with long sleeves, sweaters, and pants that can be layered. In areas prone to snow or rain, waterproof jackets, hats, gloves, and umbrellas are recommended. Around the globe, consider appropriate shoes and gear for the excursions you have planned and the terrain you’ll encounter. For instance, you may pack water shoes if hiking a waterfall or a headscarf or conservative dress for visiting museums, mosques, temples, and churches.

Shipboard
Throughout the ship, casual resort wear, sundresses, shorts, polos, or button-downs are appropriate, paired with sandals, low heels, and loafers. Make sure you bring active wear and sneakers if you plan to hit the gym! Poolside, bathing suits with coverups, T-shirts, tanks, hats, and sunglasses are welcomed. In main and specialty dining, we ask guests to refrain from wearing swimsuits, see-through coverups or robes, bare feet, tank tops, T-shirts, and baseball caps.

At Night Smart Casual
Smart Casual attire is required for entry to main dining, specialty dining, and the Celebrity Theatre. Smart Casual means you look comfortable yet tasteful in a dress, skirt, long pants, or jean, and stylish top or button-down. Shorts and flip flops are not considered Smart Casual.

Evening Chic
Each itinerary features one to two “formal” nights we call "Evening Chic." Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jean, an elegant dress top or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos. The Daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and theater.

Number of Evening Chic and Smart Casual Evenings
7 Days:
2 "Evening Chic" Evenings
5 "Smart Casual" Evenings

Packing for Your Vacation
Many domestic airline carriers now impose excess baggage fees for one or more bags and bags weighing over 50 lbs., so check with your carrier regarding weight restrictions.

All luggage should have a sturdy personal identification tag that will not be lost or damaged in the course of typical airport and trucked luggage handling. On journeys including air travel, luggage will be subject to a considerable amount of handling and we would recommend that your luggage be of sturdy construction.

Celebrity recommends that your travel protection insurance should be adequate enough to cover any possible loss or damage that may occur. Any loss or damage caused by Celebrity or an airline must be reported immediately to the responsible party.

Celebrity will make every effort to assist you in safeguarding your belongings. But remember, you are responsible for your possessions at all times. Celebrity is not responsible for money, jewelry, cameras, binoculars, documents or any other articles you retain in your personal control. We strongly recommend that while traveling, all valuables and breakables, including jewelry, electronics and cameras, essential medications, travel documents, valuables, and breakables should be hand carried in your possession at all times. Please read the Passage Contract for limitations and responsibilities for lost items and baggage.

Suggested Packing List:
yoga mat, rain poncho, rain footwear, warm clothing for viewing UFO Starwatches after sunset on the outside deck, nice clothes for dinner, dressy or formal clothes for dinner on two formal night on 7-day cruise, long pants and tops, sundress, sweatshirt and sweatpants, warm jacket or windbreaker, sweater or shawl for air conditioned ship, shorts, t-shirts, tanks, underwear, socks, sleeping-clothes, walking shoes, sandals or flip-flops, 2 bathing suits and cover-up, sunscreen, watch (your phone won't work as a watch), alarm clock (or ask for wake-up call from ship Operator), cosmetics, toiletries, bar soap (optional), medications, sunglasses, eyeglasses or contacts, hat or visor, camera, laptop or notebook computer (Wi-Fi is available on the ship for a fee) with chargers, extra batteries, backpack or fanny pack for day excursions, binoculars, night-vision goggles for star-watch (optional), post-it notes and pens (to leave notes on your door or for your cabin attendant), book to read, journal, notebook, backpack or fanny pack.

If you're planning to visit our onboard fitness center, be sure to bring extra shorts, t-shirts and socks that you won't mind working out in - plus a pair of tennis or running shoes/sneakers.

Save space:
Be sure to leave some room in your luggage for all those souvenirs and mementos. Some space-saving ideas include:
- Bring shirts and pants/skirts that mix and match, turning three outfits into five or six.
- Wear your heaviest shoes during embarkation and disembarkation so you don't have to pack them.
- Pack small items inside larger ones for efficiency.
- Bring an additional empty bag for those acquired extras.

Onshore attire:
You'll need comfortable walking shoes, as well as a hat or umbrella and sunscreen for protection from the sun. If you'll be touring any museums, cathedrals or churches, it's always wise to dress conservatively. In the unlikely event of rain, you may want to bring a poncho, raincoat, or travel umbrella.

Luggage Allowance:
Each guest is permitted to carry a reasonable amount of personal property (including luggage) aboard the vessel; however, for your comfort and convenience, it is recommended that you limit the number of pieces you take. Keep in mind that airlines may charge for excess or oversize luggage. Charges incurred for excess or oversize baggage are the sole responsibility of the passenger. Each airline has a different limit on the amount of luggage they allow. Check with your air carrier for specific restrictions, such as allowance of pounds and any additional charges.

Luggage Tags:
When you print out your Xpress Pass from the Celebrity Cruise Line website, luggage tags will be included on one of the pages. Fold and staple or tape those tags around your luggage handles just before you arrive at the ship so your luggage will arrive safely in your stateroom. It's a good idea to print out extra luggage tags, in case you or another person in your party loses theirs.

CRUISE TRAVEL DOCUMENTATION

Each passenger is responsible for providing Celebrity Cruises with complete and accurate immigration information and for obtaining any necessary visas if required for the country from which your passport has been issued.

Ensure your name appears exactly as shown on your receipt and your boarding document. If the name does not match, contact your travel agent (the travel agent must call-in corrections). Please provide Celebrity Cruises with the correct information at least 45 days prior to your cruise. Failure to do so will result in delayed check-in and, possibly, denied boarding.

Travel Document requirements vary by destination and your citizenship. Below are document guidelines for both domestic and international voyages. Please see the following page on the Celebrity website for information about what travel documents are required: https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/topics/travel-documents

Vaccinations*
Information regarding required vaccinations for your cruise is listed on your Travel Summary (if applicable). You are urged to seek advice from your primary care physician or an approved public health advisory service to identify any specific vaccination or health precautions required for each port of call. Vaccination requirements vary by destination and change from time to time. Passengers should check with the World Health Organization (WHO) (http://who.int/ith) or contact the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at www.cdc.gov/travel to verify current regulations.

Norovirus is the most common cause of gastroenteritis in the developed world. The health and well-being of our passengers and crew is our highest priority. There are several measures which have been placed to prevent and contain illnesses on our ships that meet or exceed standards set by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The simplest way for you to stay healthy is to frequently and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water, especially before eating and after using the toilet. You'll also find hand sanitizers located throughout the ship for your use after washing your hands. If you feel ill during your voyage, please immediately report to the medical center.

Health and Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend you review your health insurance coverage before cruising. Many policies, including Medicare, will not pay for services or hospitalization outside of the country or for emergency evacuation, such as a helicopter lift from a ship to shore. Celebrity Cruises ships are foreign-flagged and are considered "out of country." Please contact Diane at Legendary World Travel: 336-749-1219, to arrange for insurance.

TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS

CELEBRITY CRUISE LINES SMOKING POLICY

For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our Celebrity ships are non-smoking. Hookahs and other types of water pipes are prohibited from use under this non-smoking designation. Smoking is not permitted inside any stateroom or on any stateroom balcony. This applies to all stateroom categories onboard. Smoking is also not permitted in any dining venue, theater, bar, lounge, hallway, or elevator; on the jogging track; or in most other indoor areas. Furthermore, smoking is not allowed in certain outdoor spaces, including restricted areas, food venues, and kids play areas and pools.

If a guest is in violation of this “No Smoking” policy, a cleaning fee will be applied to their onboard account. Because we recognize that some guests do smoke, we have designated smoking areas on the ship. These smoking areas are identified by signage, and ashtrays are provided in these locations for smoking use. Guests may inquire about the location of the ship’s designated smoking areas at the Guest Relations Desk.

In casinos on itineraries where smoking is allowed, there will be visible signage designating the areas for both smoking and non-smoking guests. Cigar and pipe tobacco is limited to designated outdoor areas and cigar bars (if the ship has one). Electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes are only permitted within the designated smoking areas.

Cigarettes, cigars, and pipe tobacco must be properly disposed of and never thrown overboard. A guest must be at least 21 years of age to purchase, possess or use tobacco. During voyages that depart from international ports of call, local smoking laws will apply for the duration of the voyage.

TRAVEL WITH CHILDREN

Infants must be at least 6 months old in order to be able to travel on most cruises with Celebrity. For transatlantic cruises, transpacific cruises, and some cruises to South America, as well as cruises with three or more consecutive days at sea, children must be at least 12 months old. For those traveling with toddlers over 6 months old, there are various programs onboard tailored to entertain them, including Toddler Time, for kids under 3, and Camp at Sea, for kids ages 3 -12.

Cruises are fun for kids of all ages, and there are plenty of activities to keep your toddlers entertained. Kids under the age of 3 can enjoy Toddler Time at the ship’s playroom, where they’ll be able to play with educational toys and interact with other kids around their age. Parental supervision is required during Toddler Time, but children don’t have to be potty trained in order to participate in Toddler Time activities. Certain toys and books will also be available to check out and bring back to your stateroom.

Potty-trained kids over 3 can participate in our Camp at Sea program. Open every day from 9:00am to 10:00pm, Camp at Sea’s entertainment center offers activities for kids with all kinds of interests, including STEM-oriented excursions, Xbox tournaments, culinary experiences, and art programs. For parents who want to enjoy a couple of hours off or perhaps a romantic dinner, the Camp at Sea program also offers afternoon and slumber parties at different hours of the day. During these parties, kids will eat a meal and enjoy activities while being supervised by our youth staff, so you can rest easy that they are being taken care of while you get to enjoy some alone time. It’s a win-win situation for everyone.

PREGNANT WOMEN

If you have a healthy pregnancy, then going on a cruise vacation is a lovely way to celebrate the upcoming addition to your family. Pregnant women can enjoy a cruise on Celebrity Cruises up until their 23rd week of pregnancy. That being said, it’s always safer to talk to your doctor before traveling, especially if you’ve had any issues with your pregnancy in the past. After 23 weeks, there are increased risks in pregnancies such as preterm labor and delivery, and onboard, we do not have the medical equipment and staff available to treat these types of emergency situations.

Even if you’re not pregnant, it’s perfectly normal to feel nauseous while on a cruise. Some cruisers can experience seasickness, a form of motion sickness, while on board. This can happen when your eyesight and inner ear senses are out of balance. For pregnant women, seasickness plus the standard queasiness that can come during early pregnancy can lead to a bad bout of nausea. The good news is that there are several over-the-counter and natural remedies to alleviate seasickness on board, including rest, ginger candies, motion sickness medication, and acupressure bands. As always, we recommend talking to your doctor before taking any medication during your pregnancy.

Going on a cruise while pregnant won’t limit your ability to enjoy some of the best activities and entertainment options onboard. Spend time at The Spa, where you’ll be able to get some much-needed rest and relaxation. Treat yourself to a rejuvenating facial, indulgent massage, or a refreshing manicure and pedicure. Unwind on the heated tile loungers and take in gorgeous views of the ocean in the spa’s relaxation.

For pregnant women, there are certain food restrictions to keep in mind. The American Pregnancy Association advises pregnant women avoid the following foods: raw meats, deli meats, fish with high levels of mercury, smoked or raw seafood and shellfish, raw eggs, and unpasteurized cheeses. It is also recommended that pregnant women limit their caffeine intake and avoid alcohol consumption.

PASSENGERS WITH DISABILITIES

Airport Transportation
If requested in advance, Celebrity can arrange for accessible transportation to transfer guests between the airport and the pier. This accessible cruising service is offered at no extra charge to our air/sea guests or those who have purchased cruise-only transfers. Accessible transportation may be limited or unavailable outside the U.S. See your travel agent or contact us for details.

Extra Assistance at the Pier
Celebrity Cruises offers boarding and departure assistance to guests with mobility disabilities. Request assistance once you arrive at the pier or contact us prior to your cruise so that we may prioritize your needs during boarding. During peak times there may be a wait for assistance. Many ports provide easy access for wheelchairs and scooters, however due to various conditions: steepness of the gangway, tendering, weather, tidal and sea conditions, and shore-side facilities, guests using assistive devices may be precluded from getting on or off the ship. We will make reasonable efforts to assist our guests, but for safety reasons, our staff is not permitted to lift guests or equipment. Assistance with manual wheelchairs, walkers, canes, etc. will be provided.

Assistance Onboard
We provide reasonable mobility assistance to guests in accessing areas of the ship that are not accessible.

Tender Port Policy
The goal of Celebrity Cruises is to provide a safe comfortable cruise experience for all passengers. If you will be using a mobility device during your sailing we strongly recommend you travel with a person physically fit to assist with your needs both onboard and ashore.

Embarking and disembarking can be challenging for those with limited mobility. Many major ports of call provide easy access for wheelchairs and scooters. However due to various conditions; steepness of the gangway, weather, shore-side facilities, tidal and sea conditions, passengers using mobility devices may be required to transfer to a stair climber or be precluded from going ashore. Celebrity staff will make every effort to assist but are not allowed to individually physically lift more than 50 pounds (22 kg).

Some ports of call require the ship to anchor off shore. Passengers are then taken to shore by small boats or tenders. When tendering is required, passengers using mobility devices will not be transferred into or out of the tender, if lifting in excess of the above limitation is required. Many tender ports do not provide wheelchair access so even if the passenger can board the tender they may not be able to disembark ashore. Again the shore-side facilities, movement of the tender, weather and tidal conditions can also preclude tendering.

The decision to allow any passenger to board a tender or disembark the vessel will be made by the Captain on the basis of the safety and welfare of all involved and is final.

If passengers are unable to tender or disembark because of circumstances outlined above there will be no refund or credit for missed ports. While Celebrity recognizes your disappointment, the safety of both passengers and crew takes precedence.
